Female Business of the Year, Persistence Training Centre

Female of the Year Persistence Training Centre (PTC), located in Merritt, BC is owned by Kylee Street, a member of the Metis Nation British Columbia. Persistence Training Centre offers specialized trainers and coaches to a wide demographic of individuals. Its goal is to increase the overall health and wellness locally and especially within the First Nations community. Ms. Street opened her first training facility in her home and has worked diligently growing her clients to over 120 strong while opening a professional training centre two years ago. Ms. Street received support from ANTCO in 2020 for the expansion of her business to purchase equipment needed to provide aesthetic services such as body contouring, hair removal, wrinkle treatment, skin tightening, acne scar removal, and laser skin treatment. Persistence Personal Training offers one on one training as well as group fitness classes, personal training, strength and conditioning, kids classes, and ‘baby boot camps’. The centre also offers Nutrition Seminars and Beland Athletic Therapy. Persistence Training Centre Inc. was the 2019 Awardee for "Outstanding Business Achiever - Young Entrepreneur of the Year" at the BC Achievement Indigenous Business Awards Ceremony.
